9-3, national television and a chance to get one step closer to another division crown!! What more can you ask for this Christmas.. Let me guess a super bowl ring.. OK I can go for that..We have "flip" aka the "cap off king" aka.. Jermaine Phillips back..We have Carnell aka Cadillac Williams...Which is my favorite and currently only car!! lol.. We have Warrick Dunn healthy...Man this is exciting...Jimmy Wilkerson who keep getting sacks after sacks...I am doing well.. I can keep goin on and on! Garcia just wins! Ok ok let me stop...I am just excited.. My man Javon Haye "Stacks" may not play in this game but you never know he's jamaican,nNonetheless its a monday night game...We will see how it goes...However if I am betting man I think you know who i would be going for..;)
Lets not forget people the Panthers are BALLIN!!! They are 9 -3 so they are far from a push over and Steve Smith is amazing!! All our defense can do is contain him becuase there is no stopping #89...THIS SHOULD TURN OUT TO BE A GREAT GAME!
Blog yall soon.. I am serious , I know I keep saying, but I will try to keep it up doing the stretch...it will be a short week we got the Falcons, away..
GREG WHITE SAID, WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 15TH AT 7:04 P.M.
I will pretty much try my best to get more blogs up.. I promise..well.......maybe!!
Now I am very excited that we won against the Panthers...Very excited but on a personal note, for the second week we have not produced any sacks. That sucks! None of us and we are pretty pissed of about that "we" being the D-line and one of the best d-line coach I have ever work with Todd Wash. I mean that. (Also to get back in good with him!) Seriously that is my boy!! We are doing well because it starts upfront with the O-line D-line. It would be nice for us to put some sacks up so we can be feared as pass rushers...Granted we are doing well but we all know, we get judge off productions and stats..Although pressures count for the team and I guess if they are not having all day back there to throw.......And my DB's are not complaining. I can’t complain much. We will get it together and give you people what you want. Sacks, hard punishing sacks!! OR great QB hits something similar to what I gave Aaron Rod. With all do respect to that guy, he is a competitor!

GREG WHITE, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6th, 6: 14 p.m.
First I want to apologize for the grammatical errors. I want to tell all of you that you get the jist of what I am saying. Geez, just accept me for me and all my errors (get it? like saying flaws).... Anywho;)
Ok, so my first game day in the NFL, was the most amazing and exciting thing I could have ever witnessed. Not just because I made it there, (the actual day) but mostly because of the location, let me explain.
Okay, so here I am for the first time in my life at a opener in the NFL. The place was huge, it was loud, real loud and the sight was breath taking. It was so exciting that I had to wear my glasses out there just to see. For me just take in the full of effect of this stadium, was standing in the "Seattle Seahawk's stadium"! The home of the the 12th man!
I was in the locker room, which was not that exciting and I am sitting there looking around trying to see the game day etiquette. You know trying to see what people do or how they prepare for game day.
With all that I finally made it outside most guys go out there to warm up. Not me I wasn't interested in that.I w ent out there in my sweats but not to warm up.. after I looked to see if was anyone I knew from the program I went out, took my glasses out there (at that time I didn't have lasik). I just stood outside, took a deep breath ,stood there and said to myself, "I made it, Greg you really made it"! Not really but that is another story.. I swear I could have almost seen myself tear up from the years it took for me to be there (5 years) not only that but I am "suiting" up to play!! That is when it got a little complicated. lol
Check this, . You have your uniform jersey and pants of course..now here were it gets interesting. , You also have gloves, wristbands, forearm sleeves and your socks. You can go either long white with short black or long black with short white or an even white and black ..Either(the socks I am talking about) is subject to fined by the league(NFL)along with other dress code violations for your teams uniform lol...Yup you really can.. Oh, how can I forget the gloves and cleats, they can come white with black, black with white, red with black, black with red, all white all black pretty much the gloves color coordinates with the team color and some so with shoes. They also can be black with white, red with black so on and so forth.I bet you didnt know that. i am pretty sure all athletes try to coordinate they colors.I think Dieon Sanders said it best, "if you look good, you play good". I think that goes with life like job interviewing and all that stuff!
Off the record, I think Ronde went with black with short white...Ahh!!! what can you do?
I looked around, looked at the guys. I thought I may want to imitate to the best of my ability and if I think that their style looks good, then, hell I can too!! Nonetheless, that day I chose to look at Ronde Barber's and how he did it..That day he told me he was going with long socks and short black.. because of the Jersey we wore were the"away" jerseys which were white..I said to myself I can do that..Ronde had special made shoes for him, but I had to go with plain cleats which were white and black and for me, " they were ugly"..However you gotta start somewhere:)!
I went outside, it was "sick"! They introduced a lady that has been a long time season ticket holder. The crowd went crazy when she raised the 12th man flag! They sung the Star Spangled Banner and the Air Force did a "fly by over us., it was amazing! It was so loud literally that, sitting next to a teammate I couldn't hear what he was saying!! We ended up losing that game but played really well(if you can hold that high when you lose) kudos to them!
Now, I am going again to another season opener and another road game against the New Orleans Saints...Where the outcome should be different and I'm definitely looking to continue with my "pro glide" !! Coach Mann, our Wide Receiver talked about. me and the "pro glide" which I'm desperately trying to get. I am working out harder than last year..to do whatever it takes to get that goa, "pro glide"!!
The Saints opener probably won't be close to the seahawks opener they are a dome team too, so no fly by's.. Again the outcome should be different and I hope to play more of a role in this game.. well we will see!
Holla!!

MY THOUGHTS ON ROSTER CUTS
My hot blog today is "cut" day! This is when a lot of people get their feelings hurt! I know is sounds terrible but I speak from experience.. About six times worth of experience to say the least and that’s unofficially...
First let me tell you what happens when you make the team. I experienced that about 3 times of my professional career and when I was an amateur, I have been good enough for a team.. I always had been good and maybe even great on an amateur level. “even when am bragging I am being sincere" But seriously it is a great feeling.. The thing is being in my position I thought it would be a party, maybe the key to the city, hell I don’t know! Actually what is this...I went out for the Predators, yes the Orlando predators, my favorite Arena team..Yes I am bias!! I actually almost got "cut" there because me and the other guy had the same number...Yea well those who have played the in arena know that we don’t have that much money....so...what can you do you know?
Anyway, I made the team and it was like ok I made it! And know let's go win some games...it was as simple as that..So I thought to myself, I wonder what it feels to make a NFL squad.. I remember once I tasted that almost certain credited year under my belt...well that was taken from me in a blink of an eye.. It was pretty sad because they waited till I got there...They were (Chicago Bears) letting people go that morning and it was a 12 o’clock meeting..That meeting was for whomever made the team there was a briefing or so, I guess...well I waited and saw people get let go and all I am saying to myself is although I feel bad for the person who was let go I was like "I am glad it wasn’t me!" So I get there 12pm comes around I wait a second before I go in.. Just in case, I wanted to know for sure. So I step in the room and I hear a couple guys say, "g you made it!" I was like hell yea I made it...of course that was me saying that to myself..I also played pretty well in the preseason given the little snaps I received I would like to say I was second on the team with sacks for the preseason!...
I take a deep breath, “yes finally!" little did I know.
One of the players said "Greg they want to see you" at first I was in denial like whatever they trying to give me a scare it was 10 past 12 o’clock. The reaper said, Greg I am sorry but we need your playbook" That’s it! I am sorry!? I say to myself...I went up stairs got the news and I was on my way back to "brick city" that's Newark, New Jersey..."I put on shirt for my city!!"
Sorry got side tracked... Ok so fast forward to 07, I was asked to come to camp and I said no at first (yes I said no, my life long dream I said no) and I had good reason. Its called "politics" at least that is what other people tell me or its a number games or we just don’t have the time to develop you..I guess the practiced squad is for superstars. Then they said they will give me an opportunity to play... Now you may say to yourself that is all you need and I agree and if that was the case I would have made a team a long time ago..
I never ask to make a team, just an opportunity to make a team. So they said if I am good as I put on tape with arena then I should make it. Understand people they didn’t say" I will make the team", they said I will get a "real" look if I can prove to them I belong there and the rest was history. Jon Gruden and Kiff at least gave me that and like I said before that is all I needed...
Now, that dreadful date came where they had to let people go and I knew I was going to make it to the last cut because we all know that the last game "starters" would very little some not at all.. So that was my last chance to prove I belong there... Here we go the game is over and now its cut throat time...I finished the game got dressed and drove back home to Orlando that night I think and I was waiting for that call you know call that pretty much tells you that your not good enough to make the team..At least that is how I took it! So I waited and waited and my phone rang but it wasn’t "the call" I had different numbers call me some I recognized others I didn’t those were the ones I said it was that time..I waited to 4 in the morning, I know because I was driving back to Tampa from Orlando because they didn’t calle me and we had practice the next day.. I made it past the deadline...whew! I still was a little weary though...I called my mom and left a message ,she wasn’t up that early.. I called and told her, "Mom this your son Greg I think I made it!" I slept outside in my car in front of the complex until it was time to go in and have meetings..
Here I am excited, nervous I didn’t get a "congratulations" I got nothing I figured Jay (my Predators coach) may have called or texted. Hell! He was the one that got me in, another shot!
Well I went in and people were just getting the news that they were released I said to myself that is some cruel stuff!! So you can only imagine were my heart was or how fast it was beating! we had a team meeting nothing really about making the team it was like nothing happen we started our game plan for the Seahawks..Period! Nothing more, nothing less, that is just the nature of the game i guess i never made it that far in my professional career. So after meetings we went through "walk through" I guess the final thing that let me know I made it was when Greg Spires said "Gwhite you here! Oh sh#%, you made it!"
Yup! I guess I "made it"
